IMPRESIONES PERSONALES

El Congreso Interatlántico sobre Parto e Investigación en Salud Primal celebrado este último fin de semana en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, ha sido muy intenso y enriquecedor. Han sido 3 días muy completos, con charlas, ponencias, foros, en torno a un único tema, el Parto de la mujer y el Nacimiento del bebé, dos hechos que se producen al mismo tiempo y según como transcurra influirá de manera importantísima en el desarrollo, y futuro de la Humanidad. En el Congreso se avala y apoya encarecidamente por una humanización del parto, intentando que sea mas respetuoso y menos intervenido, devolviendo a la mujer el protagonismo único de ese momento de su vida, dejando a los profesionales ser meros observadores e intervenir únicamente cuando sea estrictamente necesario. Para ello hace falta un cambio drástico en la mentalidad de todos, profesionales sanitarios: Obstetras, matronas; parteras, doulas; catedráticos, políticos y sobre todo en la Sociedad, con información clara y específica.

También aprovecho desde aquí para agradecer a todos los integrantes, comité organizador, ponentes, voluntarios, traductores, asistentes por la celebración de dicho Congreso e invito a todos a que después de tanta información recibida no nos quedemos con los brazos cruzados sino que podamos ponerla en práctica cuanto antes !!! GRACIAS Magdalena por hacer posible que el Congreso se realizara aquí, en casa, GRACIAS Heloisa y equipo por el durísimo trabajo realizado y GRACIAS Michel por hacer realidad esta Utopía.

CONGRESO

El objetivo de este congreso es plantear nuevas cuestiones, en un momento en el que los notorios avances técnicos y científicos están acelerando la historia del parto.

La cesárea se ha convertido en un procedimiento más fácil, más rápido y más seguro que nunca. Por lo tanto la participación en esta conferencia del catedrático Michael Stark, “Padre” de la técnica simplificada.

El amor se ha convertido en tema para los científicos. Por esto contaremos con la participación de la catedrática Kerstin Uvnas-Moberg, experta mundial en lo relacionado a los efectos de la oxitocina sobre el comportamiento.

La recogida de células fetales de la sangre materna revolucionará la medicina prenatal. Por ello la participación de la catedrática Sylvie Odent, genetista médico.

Se deben plantear nuevas preguntas a nivel global. Por ello la participación del catedrático anthony Costello, Catedrático de Salud Internacional del Instituto de Salud Infantil de Londres.
La acción global es una nueva consigna. Por ello la participación del Dr Mario Merialdi, Coordinador para la salud materna y perinatal de la OMS.
Finalmente los profesionales tendrán la última palabra (matronas, obstetras, neonatólogos, especialistas en lactancia, etc)
El término “Inter.-atlántica” sugiere que los participantes vendrán de todos los continentes, y la frase 'investigación en salud primal' es utilizado para favorecer el pensamiento a largo plazo.

The objective of this conference is to phrase new questions, at a time when striking technical and scientific advances are speeding up the history of childbirth.
● The caesarean operation has become easier, faster, and safer than ever. Hence the participation in this conference of Pr MICHAEL STARK, the “Father” of the simplifi ed technique.
● Eove has become a topic for scientists. Hence the participation of Pr KERSTIN UVNAS-MOBERG, world expert on the behavioural effects of oxytocin..
● Collection of fetal cells in maternal blood will revolutionise prenatal medicine. Hence the participation of Pr SYLVIE ODENT, medical geneticist.
● New questions must be raised at a global level. Hence the participation of Pr ANTHONY COSTELLO, Professor of International Health, Institute of Child Health, London.
● Global action is a new watchword. Hence the participation of Dr MARIO MERIALDI, coordinator for Maternal and Perinatal Health at WHO.
● Finally, practioners will have the last words (midwives, obstetricians, neonatologists,
lactation consultants, etc.).
● The term “Mid-Atlantic” suggests the participants will come from all continents, and the phrase ‘primal health research’ is used to favour long-term thinking.

- EXCURSIÓN CENTRO NORTE DE LA ISLA.......... 48,00 € por persona (mínimo 30 personas).
Recogida en los hoteles correspondientes y salida en dirección a la ciudad de Arucas bordeando la costa de Bañaderos. Llegada a Arucas, cabecera del Norte de Gran Canaria. Hermosa ciudad de sabor tradicional, donde proliferan las fachadas de piedra labrada. Se podrá contemplar la iglesia parroquial de San Juan Bautista, iniciada en 1909, templo de estilo neogótico catalán con altas torres y pináculos preciosamente labrados .Subida en autocar a la montaña de Arucas para contemplar las fantásticas vistas desde el mirador. Continuación hacia la villa de Teror, preciosa villa, estratégicamente situada en un valle entre montañas y que conecta el Norte con el centro de la isla. Destaca la bella arquitectura canaria con sus calles de piedra y sus balconadas artesanales en madera labrada. Salida hacia Los Berrazales en el municipio de Agaete para dirigirnos al Restaurante “La Casa Romántica”. Almuerzo y visita de la fi nca. Pick-up and transfer to Gran Canaria airport. Departure for Lanzarote. Just forty minutes will be enough to see the differences between two of our islands: Gran Canaria “a Miniature Continent” and Lanzarote “Moonlike Landscape”. At Arrecife airport you will be met by the person who will be joining you on your crossing and showing you the island’s grandeur. Departure for Yaiza going past Mácher and Uga. You will enter the Timanfaya National Park where you will have a ride on a camel. You will be surprised at the volcanic and geothermal demonstrations carried out in the Mountains of Fire from the “Islet of Hilario”. The next setting is the “Route of the Volcanoes”, where you will see volcanoes and hear a description
of the eruptions written by the Yaiza priest in the 18th century. Visit to a typical wine cellar in La Geria with wine-tasting session (free). La Geria is a wine-growing area which is perfectly adapted to the local climate conditions. Lunch will be served in the village of Yaiza. After lunch we head for the north to have a wonderful view of the “Valley of the thousand palm trees”,visiting the Jameos del Agua where we can see the blind crabs which are so typical of this spectacular setting, conditioned by the Lanzarote-born artistic genius César Manrique. We fi nally head to the airport for our return flight.
